Founded in 1993 by Todd Appelbaum, Roaming Acres was built on a simple mission: to provide families with top-quality, all-natural meats raised with care and integrity. What began as a passion for farming has grown into a trusted source for premium ostrich, bison, Berkshire pork, and chicken.

Natasha - Farm Manager

With over 20 years of hands-on experience in animal care, Natasha proudly serves as the farm manager at Roaming Acres. She is Todd’s life partner , proud mom of 3 girls ,3 dogs and Nana to one lucky girl who gets to grow up on an amazing family farm .Her background includes raising Angus cattle, working closely with horses, and caring for a variety of exotic animals. From working  with animals on the big screen to quiet  moments on the farm, it has given her a deep understanding of animal health, behavior, and overall well-being.

At Roaming Acres, Natasha oversees the day-to-day operations with a focus on quality care, sustainability, and respect for both the land and the animals. She brings a hands-on, dedicated approach to everything she does, ensuring the farm runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards.

Farming is more than just a career for Natasha—it’s a way of life. She is proud to be part of Roaming Acres and to share that passion and commitment with everyone who visits or supports the farm.

Todd - Founder

Todd is the founder of a unique and growing ostrich and bison farm, built from a desire to create something meaningful from the ground up. What began as an idea rooted in curiosity and determination has grown into a hands-on operation focused on sustainable farming and responsible animal care.

With a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, Todd took on the challenge of raising two of the most distinctive livestock species—ostrich and bison. Each day brings new lessons, and he approaches the work with patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for agriculture.

His farm reflects his commitment to quality, ethical practices, and long-term stewardship of the land. Whether tending to the herd, maintaining the property, or planning for future growth, he is dedicated to building something that not only supports his family but also contributes to a more thoughtful and sustainable food system.
